PROMOTION AND TRAINING
Costadoro aims to become a benchmark for promoting coffee culture in Italy, sharing the experience and know how it has acquired in over a century of history.
That is why we have created the Costadoro Coffee Lab, a training and research centre where professionals and amateurs can acquire a practical understanding of Italian espresso by enrolling in special courses, seminars and events.
Located in Costadoro’s head offices in Lungo Dora Colletta 113/6 in Turin, the Costadoro Coffee Lab takes up 300 square metres of space and is divided into five different halls.
Among the most important sections, there is a museum which goes through the history of coffee from its botanical origins to the secrets of the perfect espresso, while our modern and well-equipped laboratory allows students enrolled in our courses to develop knowledge and practical skills thanks to the professional espresso machines at their disposal, including a special transparent coffee machine that makes it easier to explain how these machines work.
The Costadoro Coffee Lab also has a section set aside for certified theoretical courses, the first INEI (Italian Espresso National Institute) Permanent Training Centre in Turin: students who successfully complete the course will be awarded the prestigious diploma of expert in Italian espresso coffee or a licence as IIAC taster (International Institute of Coffee Tasters).
